Terms of Service

Last updated October 30, 2026

These terms are between River Haven Ventures LLC, a Delaware limited liability company at 15 Lilac, Lake Forest, CA 92630 ("River Haven", "we", "us"), and you. They cover the River Haven app, riverhaven.app, each business's online store, checkout, booking and account pages, and the texts and emails we send (together, "River Haven"). By creating an account, buying, booking or otherwise using River Haven, you agree to them.

1. Who these terms cover

1.1. Businesses: owners who set up a business on River Haven, and the staff they invite. Sections 3 and 4 are for businesses.

1.2. Clients: people who buy from or book with a business on River Haven, including parents and guardians who book for a child. Section 5 is for clients.

1.3. These documents also apply when you use the parts of River Haven they cover, and are part of these terms:

If one of them conflicts with these terms on its subject, that document controls.

2. Accounts

2.1. You must be 18 or older to have a River Haven account. A parent or guardian books for a child under the Guardian Consent.

2.2. Owners and staff sign in to the app with Apple, Google or a code sent to their email. Clients sign in on the web with a one-time code texted to their phone; a code sent to their email is the fallback.

2.3. Give accurate information and keep your email address and mobile number current. Sign-in codes go to them. Receipts and notices go to your email address or appear in the app; texts about bookings come only if you turn them on (section 5.8).

2.4. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Don't share your codes or let anyone else use your account. Tell us right away at support@riverhaven.app if you think someone else has used it.

3. For businesses: using River Haven

3.1. Authority. If you set up a business, you confirm that you own it or are authorized to act for it, and that it will follow these terms. In sections 3 and 4, "you" means the business and its owner.

3.2. Your business. You decide what you sell, your prices, your schedule, your policies and your agreements with clients. You're responsible for delivering what you sell, for your staff, for the waivers and agreements you use, and for following the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, automatic renewal, health club, gift card, licensing, employment, tip, privacy and tax laws.

3.3. Staff. You choose who joins your business on River Haven and what each role can do. You're responsible for what your staff do in River Haven. Remove a person's access when they leave.

3.4. Your store and content. You own the names, logos, photos, descriptions and other content you add. You give River Haven a license to host, copy, display and adapt that content to provide River Haven: your online store, your checkout and booking pages, receipts, emails and texts, and the app. You confirm you have the rights to everything you add. When you ask River Haven to bring in your website or business listing, we read its public pages to fill in your setup, and you check what we filled in.

3.5. Card payments. Card payments through River Haven are governed by the Payments Terms and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which you accept when you turn on payments. Card payments cost Stripe's standard rates, taken from each payment, as the Payments Terms explain. The current rates are shown in the app.

3.6. Your clients' information. You decide what you collect from your clients and how you use it, and you're responsible for having the right to collect and use it, including client records you bring over from other software. River Haven processes your clients' information on your behalf, as your service provider: we use it only to provide River Haven to you, to send clients their own receipts, codes and account notices, to keep River Haven secure and to prevent fraud, and as the law requires. We don't sell it or use it for our own marketing. Use your clients' contact details only as the law and their choices allow. If a client asks River Haven to delete their information, we delete it and tell you, and keep only what the Privacy Policy says we keep.

3.7. Texts to your clients. If you turn on texts, the Texting Addendum applies. Clients you bring over from other software start with texts off.

3.8. Bookings, deposits and fees. Until you turn on card payments, bookings from your store arrive as requests, with no charge. You set your booking policy: deposits, how late clients can cancel or change, and late-cancel and no-show fees. River Haven shows it to clients before they book and saves a copy with each booking. That saved copy applies to the booking even if you change your policy later. You decide whether to charge a late-cancel or no-show fee, and you charge it only as the saved policy and the client's Card-on-File Agreement allow. If you cancel a booking, you refund its deposit in full.

3.9. Tips. Tips clients add are part of their payment to your business. You're responsible for passing tips on to your staff as the law requires.

3.10. Visits settled outside River Haven. You can close a visit as settled outside River Haven when a client pays you another way. River Haven records that you marked it settled. River Haven doesn't process, hold or check that payment, and it isn't covered by River Haven's payments, refunds or disputes.

3.11. Renters. If renters (independent trainers, booth renters or room renters) work at your business, you sell them their renter agreement through River Haven, and their clients sign your waiver through their renter link. A renter's client's details and signed waiver are shared with you as the host. River Haven doesn't take payments from a renter's clients into your business's account.

3.12. Moving from other software. When you bring clients, products, bookings or saved cards over from other software, you confirm you have the right to move them, and you tell your clients about the move as the law and their agreements with you require.

4. For businesses: plans

4.1. River Haven has three plans:

  • Free: $0, up to 10 active clients a month, one owner and one location.
  • Solo: $29.99 a month, unlimited clients, one owner and one location. Eligible new subscribers get a seven-day free trial.
  • Team: $59.99 a month, unlimited clients and staff, and more than one location.

All plans have the same core features. Prices are in US dollars, plus any tax the App Store or Google Play adds.

4.2. Active clients. On Free, River Haven counts active clients each calendar month, in your business's time zone. A client is active in a month when they receive something paid for: a purchase, a membership that covers that month, or a use of something bought earlier. The person who receives the service counts, not the person who pays: a parent paying for two children counts as two clients, and a gift counts the person who uses it. Failed payments, canceled unpaid bookings and free trials don't count, and neither do clients brought over from other software until they receive something paid for. Each client counts once a month, and the app shows your count. The first time your business goes past 10 in a month, the 11th client is allowed and a seven-day grace period starts. This grace period is given once. After it, clients who haven't been counted that month can't make new purchases or unpaid bookings until the next month or until you choose a paid plan. Renewals, prepaid services, refunds and records continue.

4.3. Buying and canceling. Paid plans are bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play, which bill you, renew the plan each month until you cancel, and handle refunds under their own rules. A trial becomes a paid Solo plan at the price shown unless you cancel before it ends. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; deleting the app doesn't cancel. A plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

4.4. One plan per business. A plan belongs to the business. Signing in to the same business on another device doesn't need a second plan.

4.5. When a paid plan ends, your business moves to Free and keeps its records. If it has more locations or staff than Free allows, you choose which location stays active, and staff access pauses. Nothing is deleted.

4.6. Texts. Each plan includes a monthly number of texts to your clients: 50 on Free, 250 on Solo and 500 on Team. Past it, you can buy packs of 500 texts for $9.99 in the app. With none left, reminders go by email until the next month.

4.7. Changes to plans. We can change plan prices or what a plan includes. We tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and price changes for a subscription also follow the App Store's and Google Play's rules for notice and consent.

5. For clients

5.1. You buy from the business. When you buy from or book with a business on River Haven, your agreement for that purchase or booking is with the business. The business sets its prices, delivers what it sells, and decides its refund, cancellation and booking policies. River Haven provides the business's software and processes its card payments through Stripe. The business's name appears on your card statement, and River Haven emails your receipt.

5.2. Memberships. A membership renews automatically on the schedule and at the price shown when you join, plus tax, until you cancel. Cancel at any time in your account on the business's River Haven page. Canceling stops renewals at the end of the period you've paid for, or at the end of a minimum term you agreed to when you joined. A free trial becomes a paid membership at the price shown unless you cancel before it ends. You get an email when a trial starts and, for a trial longer than 7 days, a reminder 7 days before it ends.

5.3. Bookings and booking policies. If a business hasn't turned on card payments, a booking from its store arrives as a request, and you aren't charged. Before you book, you see the business's booking policy: any deposit, how late you can cancel or change, and any late-cancel or no-show fee. The policy shown when you book is saved with your booking and applies to it. If the business cancels, it refunds your deposit in full.

5.4. Saved cards. If you save a card with a business, the Card-on-File Agreement says what the business can charge it for: balances for services you received, tips you choose, fees under the booking policy you accepted, and bookings and purchases you make. You get an email receipt for every charge. You can remove the card in your account at any time.

5.5. Booking for a child. You can add a child to your account to book, buy and sign for them, under the Guardian Consent. People under 18 don't have their own accounts.

5.6. Waivers and agreements. A business can ask you to accept its waiver or agreement before you buy, book or take part. That document is between you and the business; River Haven shows it to you and keeps a record that you accepted it. When you confirm "I'm 18 or older and I agree", you confirm you're an adult agreeing for yourself.

5.7. Renters. If you sign up through the link of a renter who works at a host business, your details and the waiver you sign go to the host.

5.8. Texts. Texts about your bookings are optional and follow the Text Terms.

5.9. Problems with a purchase. Contact the business first: its details are on its River Haven page and in your receipt. We can help you reach it at support@riverhaven.app. Refunds come from the business. If you pay a business another way, it can mark your visit as settled outside River Haven, and River Haven doesn't handle that payment.

6. Using River Haven properly

Don't:

  • break the law, or use River Haven to sell anything illegal or anything in Stripe's list of restricted businesses;
  • give false information, pretend to be someone else, or sign for someone you aren't authorized to sign for;
  • use a card or account that isn't yours without permission;
  • send texts or emails that people didn't agree to;
  • access or try to access accounts, businesses or records that aren't yours, or probe, scrape or overload River Haven;
  • copy, reverse engineer or resell River Haven, except as the law allows;
  • harass or threaten anyone, including businesses, staff and clients.

7. River Haven's rights

7.1. River Haven, its software, design and name belong to River Haven. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app and riverhaven.app under these terms.

7.2. If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything.

7.3. River Haven changes over time. We can add, change or remove features. If a change removes something your business pays for, we tell you at least 30 days in advance.

8. Other services

8.1. River Haven relies on other companies' services, including Stripe, Apple, Google and our messaging, email and hosting providers. Their terms apply to your use of them, such as the Stripe Connected Account Agreement for card payments and the App Store's and Google Play's terms for plan purchases.

8.2. Finding your business uses Google Maps. Your use of it is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Looking up an address uses Apple Maps.

9. Ending or pausing

9.1. You can stop using River Haven at any time. To delete your account, follow the steps at riverhaven.app/delete-account. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a plan bought through the App Store or Google Play, or a membership with a business; cancel those first.

9.2. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law or one of our providers requires it, or to prevent fraud or harm. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. We give a business 30 days' notice before ending its access for any other reason.

9.3. When access ends, the parts of these terms that by their nature continue, such as amounts owed, records, disclaimers, limits of liability and disputes, continue.

10. Disclaimers

River Haven is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise River Haven will be uninterrupted or error-free. River Haven isn't a party to purchases, bookings, waivers or agreements between businesses and their clients, and isn't responsible for the services businesses provide, their premises, or injuries that happen there.

11. Limits of liability

11.1. To the extent the law allows, River Haven isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data.

11.2. To the extent the law allows, River Haven's total liability for any claim about River Haven is limited to the greater of what you paid River Haven in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. For card payments, the Payments Terms set the limit.

11.3. These limits don't apply to liability the law doesn't allow to be limited.

12. Indemnity

If you use River Haven for a business, the business will cover River Haven's losses and reasonable costs, including attorney fees, from claims by its clients, staff, renters or others about what it sells or does, its content, its use of client information, or its breach of these terms or the law.

13. Disputes

13.1. Before filing a claim, contact us at support@riverhaven.app, and we'll try to resolve it informally for 30 days. We'll do the same before filing a claim against you.

13.2. These terms are governed by Delaware law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

13.3. Claims will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and River Haven agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us can bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies. If you're a consumer, this section doesn't take away protections that the law where you live gives you and doesn't allow to be waived.

14. Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. We tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before a change that reduces your rights or increases your costs takes effect, unless the law requires it sooner. If you keep using River Haven after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using River Haven and delete your account.

15. General

15.1. These terms and the documents in section 1.3 are the whole agreement between you and River Haven about River Haven.

15.2. You can't transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We can transfer ours to a successor of our business.

15.3. If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part isn't a waiver of it.

15.4. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.

15.5. We send notices to the email address on your account, or in the app. You send notices to support@riverhaven.app, or by mail to the address in section 17.

16. Apple's terms for the app

If you got the River Haven app from Apple's App Store:

16.1. These terms are between you and River Haven, not Apple. River Haven, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.

16.2. Your license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions allow.

16.3. River Haven, not Apple, provides maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any.

16.4. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the app's price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claim for failing to meet a warranty is River Haven's responsibility.

16.5. River Haven, not Apple, handles claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.

16.6. If someone claims the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, River Haven, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging the claim.

16.7. You confirm that you aren't in a country under a US government embargo or designated by the US government as supporting terrorism, and that you aren't on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

16.8. You must follow the third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your wireless data plan.

16.9. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.
